Stormwater Action Team Events
Every other month a Stormwater Action Team Event will be held in Lancaster County. These will rotate around the county and focus on new topics that relate to clean water issues that impact municipalities. Expect presentations, discussions, tours, opportunities to share, and efforts to encourage collaboration and action. Topics could include riparian buffers, ordinances, BMP maintenance, financing, agricultural resources, drinking water and source water challenges, data management, communication tools for reaching residents, and much more.
Here are the details for the next Stormwater Action Team Event:
- Where: Paradise Community Building
February 5, 2020 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM
- Cost: FREE
- Learn about riparian buffer funding options, benefits of buffers, and the efforts the Lancaster Clean Water Partners are taking to make it easier, cheaper, and more efficient to establish riparian buffers. Participants will have time to interact with municipal colleagues who have already successfully installed riparian buffers on public land. Landscape professionals will also be in attendance to provide guidance on designing, installing, and maintaining this practice. Maps of your community will be provided to help guide the conversation and make it easier to talk through real world scenarios and find solutions to existing challenges.
